National Identification Number (NIN)

Enroll for your Nigerian National Identification Number (NIN) with an approved NIMC agent.

The National Identification Number (NIN) is a unique identifier assigned to you once you are enrolled in Nigeria’s National Identity Database. Enrollment captures your demographic data, all ten fingerprints, a facial photograph and a digital signature, which are checked against existing records to avoid duplicates.

Good to know

  • A NIN is issued once and is never reissued to anyone else.
  • It links all of your records in the database and is used to verify your identity.
  • Citizens and legal residents of Nigeria, including infants, are eligible to enroll.
  • If a holder dies, the NIN is retired once a death certificate is presented.

Everest Point LLC is one of NIMC’s licensed verification and approved enrollment agents, helping Nigerians in the diaspora enroll without the stress.
